This is my side of the room.
Strange birds I saw at the river.

A crane or heron????

Today I went to the library. This is the view from the 9th floor. Altogether there are 12 floors. Everyone is in the library b/c there are no text books, so there are like 100 ppl who all need the same book, and there are 3 copies of that book. It's horrible.
They have Kraft Macaroni and cheese here! I got together w/the people from my program today and we had some mac and cheese for dinner, it was so good!
I've been invited to go to a club w/Paula and Emma tonight, so that's all for today!
The birds are Magpies (related to crows and ravens) I think the other looks like a heron but I'm not sure. That's horrible that they have a shortage of books. At least you've got mac and cheese, it's impossible to find in Paris unless you go to a store that sells American food and pay twice what it would cost back home. Hope you have fun at the club!
ReplyDeleteMagpies...are they only in Europe?
ReplyDeleteThere are different kinds of Magpies, but those black and white ones you saw are Europeans Magpies and they are only in Europe. There are crazy colored ones in other places, like green and blue ones in Asia and Africa.
ReplyDeleteUh, Jenny---that room is too small to have sides! LOL! btw--my friend David (the Scot) told me that the pub next to your flat was used to film a lot of the movie Train Spotting. He may be dropping in to say hello on your blog so don't be alarmed--he's a right guid chap! Oh--it's me btw--Hannah's mum.
