First day of classes

Today was the first day of classes. It was very confusing, and I was late to every class...of course! I don't really understand the whole a couple days a week I have a lecture to attend, then there are seminars or tutorials that split the class into smaller groups. You can't ask questions during lecture, you must wait until tutorial. I got all the classes I wanted, so that is good. I had wanted to not have classes on Friday, but my last class that day is at noon. But that's ok, I think I can still travel on weekends, leaving Friday afternoon, coming back Sunday. There is an airline that sells cheap plane tickets to all over Europe! (In 2 weeks, I could fly to london for .50 pence/cents!)

I met a girl from Hong Kong, April. She came and knocked on my door today and we talked for about 2 hours! It's so strange, American culture has spread all over the world, she was taught english in Kindergarten, and they have english schools and chinese schools they can attend. We talked about politics (U.S., she knew all about Obama and McCain, and she told me about Chinese politics) and she told me all about China and Chinese culture! She doesn't really know anyone in our building either, so we decided to be friends. I think we might travel together! She also wants to go to the biggest movie theatre in Glasgow!

  1. That's awesome! It seems like the Europeans (and a lot of other people in general) know more about American Politics than most Americans do. I hope you guys see a movie together, that should be fun.

Oh yeah, and definitely just respond to me on here, I'll keep checking.

Also, London for 50 pence!? THAT'S INSANE! YOU HAVE TO DO IT!!
