This is the door to my room....Paula has lots of stuff on it, and the pic of the house just appeared there today, either Emma or Becca drew it, not sure. No one ever locks their doors, and I feel very safe here...but ppl (luckily its ppl I know) are always just coming in our room, and our door doesn't always shut all the way...

Yes I took a pic of the bathroom (or as they call it here: the toilet or loo or lavatory) the shower is on the right and its really small. There are 3 bathrooms for every 5 or 6 rooms, this is the first of ours, then there is 1 next to it w/just a shower and the one on the end has a bathtub...i dunno who would use the bath tub, that would be kinda gross...

This is our Kitchen...as u can tell my kitchen mates like to decorate.

We're supposed to keep our food in these lockers, but I don't know how it works, so I keep my food in my room.

This is the switch to turn the stove on, its on when the red light is on.

The kitchen. I am a germophobe, so I absolutely hate the kitchen b/c I keep losing silverware, and Paula has the same kind, so I just take it from her cupboard (mine is the last one next to the fridge, along w/the drawer, which I share w/sophie) and people are always moving my dishes or using them or something, no wonder we are all sick. I also hate the bathroom, thank goodness I have flip flops to wear. Oh and I hate our bedroom floor, we don't have a vacuum and they don't clean our rooms (they do clean the bathroom everyday except sat. and sun. and kitchen once a week). I don't know how ppl can walk around barefooted. Thats just grotesque.

This is the heater in my room. I freeze to death at night, I woke this morning and was so cold during the night my head was under the covers. Paula and I have noticed its colder when its only one of us here, when we hav a lot of ppl in our room, its really hot. I have had to sleep in thick socks, a sweatshirt and hat its been so cold. I'm not looking forward to tonight, Paula isn't here (as usual she's at Norway's, that's what the girls call Fabian cuz he's from Norway, they don't like the name Fabian)
This is the only outlet on my side of the room that I'm aware of. The only things I have plugged in are my laptop and cell phone charger. Each thing needs an adapter and a converter. The little switches that have the red tape on them are the switches for the outlets to turn it on. I was very confused the first night I was in Edinburgh and I couldn't figure out why my phone wasn't charging. These switches are on every outlet, even for the fridge and stove (they call it hob?)

This is the UK plug for my new phone!
Foreign electricity is always so baffling.
